My journey with the Cinderella Scholarship Program began in 2011 when my daughters participated in their very first preliminary pageant. What started as a new experience quickly became a lifelong passion for our family after my four-year-old daughter instantly fell in love with the sisterhood, confidence, and opportunities the program provided.

After attending our first international pageant in 2013, I became the director of the Lancaster Preliminary Pageant. When Judy Kyees took over as Pennsylvania State Director in 2016, I began working closely alongside her to help grow and strengthen the program. Over the years, I expanded my role within the system, eventually serving as the Pennsylvania royalty coordinator and the primary point of contact for preliminary pageants across the state.

My family remains deeply involved in the Cinderella program today. My oldest daughter, Maggie, has earned the titles of Pennsylvania Miss, Teen, and Woman, in addition to winning the 2025 International AAMTC title and being named 3rd Alternate Overall in 2025. Maggie will now continue her involvement with the system by stepping into the role of social media manager for Pennsylvania Cinderella.

My youngest daughter, Phoebe, has also played an important role in shaping the future of our program. Phoebe’s love for Cinderella and her unique spirit inspired the creation of the new Cinderella Spirit Division within the Pennsylvania system, designed to celebrate girls and young women with diverse abilities in a supportive and uplifting environment.

As I step into the role of Pennsylvania Cinderella Director, I look forward to continuing to grow and develop this program while helping participants build confidence, independence, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships. My goal is to ensure that every participant feels supported, empowered, and encouraged to become the very best version of themselves both on and off the stage.

Preliminary Directors

Kate Pompa combines her passion for empowering others with a lifelong love of the performing arts. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance and Psychology from Point Park University and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University. Professionally, Kate serves as Vice President of Child and Family Services at Wesley Family Services, where she has dedicated her career to supporting children, families, and individuals with disabilities in leading rich, meaningful, and empowered lives.

Kate's Cinderella journey began 12 years ago when her daughter, Lexi, entered the program as a Tot. What started as a pageant quickly became a second family. Over the years, Lexi has had the honor of serving as both Pennsylvania State Miniature Miss and Pennsylvania State Miss, and through those experiences, Kate developed a deep appreciation for the confidence, growth, and friendships the Cinderella program inspires.

As a Local Director, Kate's favorite part of Cinderella is the sisterhood that extends far beyond the stage, connecting participants across Pennsylvania and throughout the country. She hopes every contestant leaves with greater confidence, a new friend, and the opportunity to share something unique about themselves, whether through their interview, talent, or personal accomplishments.

When she's not directing pageants or teaching dance, Kate loves spending time with her children, Lexi and Drew, and her two French Bulldogs.

Her advice to first-time Cinderella families: "You are going to have the best time! Come ready to make memories, build friendships, and enjoy every moment of the experience."

My name is Renee Glendenning, I am the current local director for the Uniontown PA area. I first became involved with Cinderella when my daughter was barely four years old back in 2013. So I have been involved with system for thirteen years now. My favorite part of the Cinderella system is the true sisterhood, not just with the contestants but the parents as well. The love and support my daughter as well as myself have received from this program is incredible. The Main thing that I hope every contestants gains from Cinderella is confidence and self worth, as well as life long friendships! The public speaking skills utilized in the system are essential in life, and building that confidence to do so early on in life, is so important. For those of you joining Cinderella for the first time, welcome and enjoy! This is a program like no other and once you become a Cinderella Girl you are always a Cinderella girl!! The support and love this system has will be witnessed from the start! A fun fact about me is I’m a huge Disney Adult and still believe in all the magic!
